Five students came to the Ullswater area in the northeast of the Park.


May 5 - Aira Beck, with Aira Force (5.3) – commemorated by Wordsworth (“Airey-force Valley”). “Force”, meaning waterfall, is another cultural relic (like “beck”) of the Norse settlement of the area over a thousand years ago.

May 5 - Martindale, on the south side of Ullswater, from Hallin Fell.

May 5 - Lower Ullswater from the summit of Hallin Fell (1271 ft; 387 m)

May 5 - On the south shore of Ullswater.
